Last weekend I decided it was about time I crossed something off of my ever growing bucket list of noms and so my roommate Anna and I spent a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Soho window shopping (bc everything is hella expensive), strolling, and, most importantly, tackling Dominique Ansel's cookie shot. "Dominique Ansel? Isn't that the name of that famous bakery that sells the cronut?" Why yes indeed! (God, how cheesy do i sound?) The cronut, however, (which is also on my bucket list of noms) is only sold at 8:00am and the lines for it are absolutely crazy long. Lucky for us, the cookie shot is sold at a more manageable time (3:00pm) and had a really short wait (approx 15 min). "What is a cookie shot?", you ask (actually maybe not since I posted a picture of it above). The cookie shot is essentially a chocolate chip cookie in the shape of a shot glass with chocolate coating on the inside (so that the cookie doesn't soften and crumble) that is filled with some really freaking delicious cold milk (in lieu of alcohol). At first, I was a little underwhelmed, especially since it seemed a bit pricey ($4.00 per shot), but the cookie is actually really dense and thick so I didn't mind the cost or the size. Overall, it was pretty yummy, but since I'm not a huge fan of cookies (unless they're warm) I don't think I would go again and wait in line unless I was tagging along with a friend. But, I feel like most people love cookies so I would recommend people to go try it, especially since the whole ordeal was more of an experience rather than just an instance of consuming sustenance. |
